Announcement of the 11^th Xinglong Observational Astrophysics Training Workshop

The 11^th Xinglong Observational Astrophysics Training Workshop will be held in Oct. 23rd -- 29th, 2018, in NAOC campus (Beijing) and Xinglong Observatory (Hebei). The workshop is supported by Bureau of Personnel of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), hosted jointly by the Key Laboratory of Optical Astronomy, National Astronomical Observatories of CAS (NAOC), and the Xinglong Observatory, NAOC. The main topic of this workshop is the high resolution spectroscopy. The program will include lectures on frontier scientific studies based on spectra; introductions of the properties of the HRS instrument on the 2.16m telescope and its usage, lectures on the data reduction of high resolution spectra, practice of observations and data reduction, examination, and final presentation of the participants’ achievements. To encourage the academic communication and promote research collaboration among participants, a scientific discussion session will be arranged. Certificates will be awarded to excellent participants. All are welcome.

No registration fee is needed. The deadline is 14:00 on Sep. 25th, 2018. The number of participants will be limited to 30. Registration will be dealt with a first-come first-served basis for participants. We will close registration when 30 participants are reached or by 14:00 on Sep. 25th, 2018.
